Transportation to/from airport
Taxi: A taxi stand outside Terminal 1 operates flat-rate and metered services; always agree the fare before starting your trip. Typical rates are approximately €20 to Kotor and €30 to Budva. Official taxis accept cash in euros; credit cards may be accepted but it’s best to confirm in advance.
Train: There is no train station at Tivat Airport. Travellers must take a taxi or local bus to reach the nearest stations in Podgorica or Bar. Montenegro’s national rail network is run by Željeznički Prevoz Crne Gore (ŽPCG). (more info)
Bus: No public buses serve the terminal directly—stops are on the main road, a short but unsafe walk. Fares range from €4–€9 and journeys to coastal destinations can take around two hours. For reliability and safety, taxis or pre-booked transfers are recommended. (more info)
