Wattay International Airport (VTE) is an international airport located in Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital, Laos. It’s located about 5 km (3.1 miles) from downtown Vientiane. The airport first opened officially in 1999. Vientiane is the capital and largest city of Laos and is considered the political and economic heart of the country.
